Recipe Ingredients

Ingredients here are simple. When mixed together you get an easy quiche full of flavor! Here’s an overview of what you’ll need plus variations:

  • GROUND PORK: ½ lb of ground pork makes this recipe affordable.
  • VEGETABLES: You’ll need some chopped bell pepper and chopped yellow onion.
  • CHEESE: Shredded mozzarella cheese and grated parmesan cheese add easy flavor.
  • FILLING: Eggs, canned evaporated milk, flour and spices are combined to create the quiche-filling base.
  • CRUST: This recipe uses one pie crust. I used a store-bought frozen pie crust. You can also make your own pie crust if preferred.
  • VARIATIONS: Any ground meat can be substituted including ground beef, ground chicken or turkey. Any kind of shredded cheese can be used here too. You can also add mushrooms, chopped tomatoes, spinach or fresh basil.

How To Make The Parmesan Ground Pork Quiche

The filling is cooked in a frying pan then added to a pie shell and baked in the oven. Here’s a quick overview with the full detailed instructions in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  1. Cook onion and brown the ground pork in a frying pan. Stir in flour, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Add milk, bell pepper and half the parmesan. Remove from heat.
  2. Beat eggs in a large bowl, add in the ground pork mixture.
  3. Sprinkle half the mozzarella cheese and half of the parmesan into the bottom of the pie crust. Pour the ground pork mixture on top. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese.
  4. Bake until edges are golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Let cool, then slice and serve.

Leftover quiche can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. The quiche can be reheated in the microwave or back in the oven.

This quiche can also be prepped ahead of time and frozen for a future meal. Just add straight to the oven (while still frozen) and bake until warmed through.

Recipe Tips

  • This recipe is easy to adapt. Any ground meat will work including ground chicken, turkey or beef. You can use cheddar cheese or marble cheese instead of mozzarella. Add different veggies like tomatoes, onions and asparagus. Basically, you can use this recipe as a guide but create your own unique variation.
  • Use a large non-stick frying pan for easy cooking and stirring.
  • Mix ingredients well for even flavor.
  • Top the quiche with your favorite sauce! Salsa, hot sauce, barbecue sauce or ketchup would all be great options.
  • Follow the pie crust instructions on the package. If it requires baking before adding the filling, then do this first.
